The Night

The night was intoxicated, the street was nameless and quite. I was walking briskly as the rape cases flashed across the screens.

Like a shot, my heart skipped a beat. As three lustrous eyes were fiercely, fixed on me. My heart questioned, “What were those eyes staring at?” I was numb. Those eyes stole all the answers.

I questioned myself, “Was my dress too short to wear or was it too inappropriate for the eyes of the society?

Or

Was I looking too seductive to be the centre of those popped out eyeballs? What are they looking at?”

My heart is still looking for the answer, What eyes were they?
